Snow!

Although we are on the edge of the Yellow Alert Zone we sit higher than the city and half-expected snow, to reach us around 2pm. This was taken just gone 1 pm, after first rain, then sleet then the full-blown snow, with 'flakes as big as old pennies', to quote a favourite children's story (Ivor the Engine,  'Snowdrifts' by Oliver Postgate and Peter Firmin), occasionally blowing horizontally.

Unlike the story, however, very little settled and soon returned to a desultory sleety rain before stopping, the show over. We were also spared the wind, so Storm Barra has so far avoided us.
