Half of Theakstons bitter!

A tough drive down from Tigh Mor to Askrigg. At least the start of the drive was not icy but driving south the sleet and rain started going down to 0 degrees but everyone driving carefully and mostly leaving space! A much slower drive than predicted by satnav. But got to Askrigg in the light and the sun showed its face!

Have a suite in the hotel with a bedroom and sitting room and bathroom! Had to go down to the bar To book a breakfast slot so decided to have half a bitter and a packet of crisps! Had eaten at tebay services on the way down before turning off the motorway to wend my way to Askrigg. Hugely thankful for satnav which took me over a single track road on the moor but fortunately didn’t meet anything coming the other way! It would be gorgeous in the summer! Must come back some day!
