Puppy love

How bizarre to introduce an entirely new and unknown character into the house! It's quite a shock for poor Big Dave who has been quite unsettled by the whole experience.

However, Jango is good in the house, although he does have an obsession with shadows. Here he is resting on my feet - he seems to like being close to feet for some dog-logic reason. That's his squeaky dinosaur toy close by for comfort. It's all still very new both for him and us.

Big Dave will adapt in time. He was great chums with George, bless him. We just have to be kind to both creatures and look after their needs.

I am always slightly in awe of the fact that animals seek us out and want our company and interact with us and become part of our tribes. There's something very moving about an animal learning to trust you.
