Deacon Blue

Ages ago (it seems ages anyway) Iain booked us tickets to see our old favourites Deacon Blue, a Scottish band who were pretty big here in the 90s. I love live music and it’s great to support bands who choose to play Perth, cos we’re only a small city!

Anyway they were terrific, frontman Ricky worked the crowd with stories about their songwriting and jokes and quips about the local football team, etc. They sounded great too and played all the old hits interspersed with ‘songs from our new album’!

Went with friends and bumped into plenty more there. Hard to sing with masks on but did our best! And there was a bubble machine - blip is the band on stage with lights and bubbles :)
