Paint drips

8.0C with grey clouds brightening later in the afternoon.

When Maeve the Deerhound and I were down at the shore today it was quite dull. We spent a while pottering about down on the hard sand in the boat channel since the tide was well out. Blips were not leaping out and making themselves obvious. Even my assistant was not having much luck finding blips.

What brightened up our day was the sight of a whole big group of walkers (boots, daypacks, poles etc) wandering along the back of the beach to the Fishermen's huts then walking down on to the beach only to turn back off the beach at the Westhaven car park.

They looked a bit lost. I am guessing they were walking the newish shore path from Arbroath to Carnoustie (and beyond perhaps). I suspect they had crossed at the level crossing instead of following the cycle path to the end then walking the short stretch of pavement to the next signpost for the cycle path.

There were a couple of people at the huts so perhaps they had asked for directions. Once they had gone up through the car park either of the available roads would get them back on track :-)

Anyway ... time for the letter 'F' in the continuing occasional alphabet series !
