Hand of dooooom

Ah what a sunny day! Simon and I nipped into town to do some errands and I saw this bizarre sculpture. I think it's meant to be Jesus, I'm not entirely sure. It was like a metallic zombie emerging from the ground.

Perhaps I should have paid more attention to the inscription?
