Sewing

There is a lovely sewing and yarn shop in Alcester which is a little treasure trove of bits and pieces collected by the previous owner on her visits to markets and antique stalls here and in France. I liked this old Jones sewing machine, “ As supplied to her majesty Queen Alexandra.” You can read all about her here. (And her unfeasibly long list of first names. Clearly didn’t want to upset any of the relatives.) I wonder if she used her Jones sewing machine to run up the frock in the photo on the linked article.
I went in to get something to make a Christmas wreath, which I might blip if it’s a success.
