Sleepy
Another emergency cat blip on a dark, cold, drizzly and grey day. P (who seems to have caught some sort of cold) and the cats hardly got up at all; it was very much a day for extended catnaps. Chaiyya‘s favourite nest is right next to my desk, so she can get her belly tickled.
My day consisted of grocery shopping, another trip to the vet, to get the meds and special food for Munni (the cat), and paperwork.
I had terminated one of my mother’s insurances, which is no longer needed - or so I thought. But now they wrote back: they didn’t accept my right to write on behalf of my mother (although they have proof of my power of attorney) and she would have to write them a letter and sign it herself. And because we will then be too late to cancel the insurance by the end of this year, it will run for another year and cost her another 400 euros.
It’s a pattern. The bank, the mobile phone company, the insurance company - they all make terminating contracts on behalf of my mother extra difficult for me, so they can take advantage of their long-time customer‘s illness as long as possible. It does make me quite furious, to be honest.
