Evesham
Today we went a few miles north to the market town of Evesham sitting proudly in its eponymous vale! We went to collect a two drawer filing cabinet that we had clocked and then clicked last night! For once internet shopping worked in our favour.
While we were there we also went into B&Q and bought two lengths of pipe lagging. I turned them into draught excluders for our utility room and internal garage doors. They cost a fraction of the illusive draught excluders whose shortage, I believe, is due to the current surges in energy prices.
This afternoon we unpacked some of our boxes of books. Releasing them from their cardboard prisons was a very uplifting experience. These books are as familiar to us as very old friends.
“I’m the PM … get me out of here” sprung to mind as I watched today’s PMQ from Westminster in the continuing fall out from last year’s Downing Street Christmas “Partygate”.
