Gift time
I have begun to put together Summer Solstice / Xmas / New Year gifts for local friends.
This year they are receiving a dog calendar wrapped in FabWrap, accompanied by a card.
The calendar contains 11 of my photos of Jeaniebean, along with one of my previous gorgeous dog, Sana, who died in March. It is the sixth annual dog calendar I’ve designed and it can be found all across the world, albeit in just 20 select locations - including one other Blipper’s home.
I began making and distributing FabWrap five years ago, as a permanent solution to the usual rippable and throwaway wrapping paper. Most FabWraps are lined patchwork bags and sheets; all different sizes to suit all kinds of presents.
The plan is that I send family and friends’ gifts in FabWrap one year, and they return it the following year with a gift for me inside. That’s the plan. In reality people like it so much that they use it for all their friends too, so I have ended up supplying them with free FabWrap year after year, because when I run out I simply make more. More fool me!
The card is one of many that I paint each year. The current themes are lighthouses and legs. This is a lighthouse, obviously.
It’s a good season for giving.
