Lighthouse
Today the weather was calmer, although pretty cold so we drove down the coast a bit for a lovely ( if strenuous - equivalent to 29 flights of stairs according to my watch) walk at St Abbs Head. We discovered while there that there several bays roped off with electric fencing where there were seals with their pups. They are grey seals so pretty large. Whilst walking we encountered ranger who told us that sadly they lost 850 pups during Storm Arwen :( There were 2000 before the storm but when they counted after the storm there had been this huge loss of the young ones. The ranger himself had yesterday been helping to move fallen trees from one of the walks round a small loch.
Diving Club Christmas quiz in the evening which was fun :) So good to meet in person this year rather than on zoom. I was quizmaster so it felt quite a responsibility- did you all know there are 110 varieties of Brussels sprouts?
