Short Back and Sides

This  tree was just a metre high twig when we moved in.
About every three years we have it cropped to this sort of height, so that when it's in leaf we get a bit of shade in mid-day and it doesn't block the light in our neighbour's house.
We always employ the same men to do the job, the local "Where Next"  charity. Pre Covid it was not unusual to have two supervisors and four or five "helpers" but today the total party was just three.
Strange really, the job has taken about the same time:-)
PS. I had no blip yesterday.
