Wistful moments

All steamed up

What a fantastic way to spend an Easter Sunday. Another fry up and then the group headed off for a 2 hour round trip on the Llanfair steam railway. After the first hour we arrived in Welshpool and then walked up to Powis castle owned by the National Trust. Another sunny day so after the interesting tour round the castle it was a lovely walk back through the grounds and down to the town where there was a conveniently situated pub next to the station!
Tonight we enjoyed a 5 course home cooked Easter dinner and then retired to the lounge where our hostess strummed her guitar and sang for us. It was all very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. No tv for the whole weekend and i didn't miss it once!
