Muncaster Owl

After a pretty round-about journey we made it to Muncaster Castle. The Owl Trust have an aviary there with some beautiful birds like this fella here. They mainly take in rescued birds (or birds that need to be rescued after someone's found one in a wood and removed it) but they also try to breed some to release back into the wild.

The castle itself is pretty cool. Henry VI once hid there and in return he gave the family a little glass cup which they call the 'Luck of Muncaster'. I think it's hidden in a walk-in safe now because if anything happens to it, the luck will be broken...
