Christmas Greetings from Sammy

Sammy Squirrel sat on top of the post for ages ...... he was watching me watching the little birds flying and swooping down to grab a bird seed or two. Sammy made no attempt to scamper along the wall to the flat stone which serves as a feeding station for the birds and there were some peanuts among the bird seed.

The sun tried to put in an appearance this morning but with little success. We have been spared any wind and rain but not the bone seeping cold.
