Family Tree

I designed this tree for my Nan (known to all as May May) which I have embroidered on to a cream blanket and have added a gold satin edge to the blanket. It didn't turn out quite how I imagined but hey ho, I'm still very proud of it :o)

The big leaves represent my Aunties and Uncles, the medium leaves represent my cousins, brother, sister, me and all our partners and the little leaves represent the babies/great grandchildren. The butterfly is my auntie who left my uncle, the squirrel is my uncle who died many years ago, the bird is my cousin's baby who sadly died at only a few weeks old and the heart is my grandad as without his love for my Nan none of us would be here!
