Save Southbank Skatepark

As part of recently-announced plans to redevelop the Southbank Centre, the existing skatepark and graffiti walls will be closed, and relocated elsewhere.

They say "Urban arts such as skateboarding are an important part of Southbank Centre and we will ensure their future here. We have to close the skate park on Queen's Walk to build the Festival Wing. In its place we will provide a new riverside area on our site especially for urban artists."

Although they've as-yet published little on exactly what that area will be like. Not everyone's thrilled about their plans either.
