Near the roundabout

Busy morning, followed by some necessary shopping, before taking a run. Got wrong some directions given by an ex workmate, so gave up and carried on along Woodlands Park Road to the junction with Huia Road, where there is a big roundabout.

On a utility box near the roundabout, Monique Endt painted a scene no one has seen in over 100 years. She painted three Huia, and two Kokako with a nest. The Kokako is returning from the edge of extinction. The Huia has not been confirmed since the early 20th century. 

On my run I heard many more birds than I saw.
