Corella

On the way home from a pub dinner we saw the unusual sight of a corella in a tree in someone's front garden. As we drew closer we saw there were three of them. I managed to photograph this one just before a man came and tried to shoo them away. It was his almond tree in which they were perched and his unripe almonds they were cracking open with their powerful beaks and chucking on the ground anything they didn't want.

I don't blame the man, but I think he is fighting a losing battle. My photo opportunity was therefore short.
