Hollow Way
The hollow ways, the tracks of the medieval woodsmen through the beech woods, can be seen clearly at this time of year. They were worn away over centuries by men and their donkeys carrying wood down the hills. This one goes from Sprigs Alley to Radnage - great names!
The Exmoor Ponies have got used to us walking across their paddock every day (extra). They always look hopeful and if their owner hadn't told us not to feed them we would have pockets full of carrots and apples - what a pity :-(
