Built to Last ...
... well, one of these buildings was - and it's not the former council offices in the background, which have previously been immortalised by Hopps1 and karatekid51. No, it's Provost Skene's House, built in 1545 and still standing proud and resolute despite the attempts of modern architecture to dwarf it.
The acid test, of course, that tells you if a building is going to last or not is whether seagulls use it as a resting place, as seen when viewed large.
