Border crossing

Just a bit of soreness from the booster injection site and so after a bit of yoga, a cup of tea and a slice of toast I decided to head over to Tamar lakes to experience their version of ParkRun.
I arrived in plenty of time to get in a good warm up by running around the course one lap around the lake. The border line running through the centre of the upper lake separates Devon from Cornwall.
Despite the low cloud it wasn’t too cold, I observed the following bird life:
Heron, Cormorant, Canada geese, Mallard, Tufted Duck, Magpies, Fieldfares, Song thrush, Redwings, Blue tits, Blackbird, Jays, and Pied wagtails.
5th from 73 starters was quite pleasing, a cup of tea and a slice of Christmas cake and a socially distanced chat with the locals topping off the morning.
Not such a good day for Auntie, cousin B visited and struggled to make much logical conversation.
