Seeking Magis

Strava Day 195/75 Hard Off Phase Day 13. Outdoor workout, reading and two liters done. Grateful that even if it is not sunny today, the weather is relatively better compared to yesterday's. Was able to reach the town proper 10 minutes before 5:55 AM that I had time to mindfully consider options. Glad I chose to focus on this subject because the lights are apparently switched off a few minutes before six.

Yesterday, we (B, T and I) attended the gym's Christmas party. We brought T because according to them, kids are okay to join. Thought there would be other kids but T happened to be the only one. T initially was doing an every minute update as to the percentage of how much he wants to go back home.
"I 98.99 percent want to go home..." he said. Then he saw a Husky and was happily distracted from his boredom.  While watching the gym goers compete for freebies through beer drinking and some other games involving alcohol, T comments "What they're doing is unhealthy..." Told him, it is good he recognises that while also saying that it is probable that 90 percent of the time the players avoid the alcoholic beverages but they might be allowing themselves some in moderation during the holidays which is fine.

This morning, I passed by T's cabin and noticed how neglected it looked and how messy it has gotten. Cleaning the cabin has been on T's self imposed "to do list" for some time now that I had to call him and ask him what it would take for him to start working on it. He said he will do it but he needs someone to help him later. Told him, I struggle with procrastination myself but said he should work on changing this habit as often "later" becomes never. He dislikes getting any type of criticism and would often stomp and begin histrionics. It is sometimes annoying but most often funny.

Here's to you finding both magic and magis within your day.
