Smiling despite it all

A bit of adventure today as we tried to leave Tiree, We were the first car directed down the pier and just about to drive onto the loading ramp when a large swell hit the ferry from the side and she bucked snapping two ropes and the loading ramp flying all over the place. We reversed quickly as the ferry loomed towards us and crashed into the linkspan bridge. Hopefully no damage to either however she pulled out into the bay and tried to come back for us but failing to dock a second time so departed leaving us on Tiree.

We walked the beaches in the storm this afternoon, my colleague Jen smiling despite the trauma it caused her and the difficulties of staying longer it's causing at home. In extra the view from my guest house window and a photo of the rocks on the beach as we walked the afternoon away.
We will try again tomorrow but not hopeful.
