Shale Trail

Eating a barbecued farmyard last night might not have been the best pre-race prep but I still managed a respectable 8th in this race.
It follows the route of the Shale Trail footpath, a heritage trail through the post-industrial Carboniferous landscape of West Lothian. 25km. The highlight was crossing Almondell viaduct.
