Day Out

The young photographer in shot is a keen volunteer here, at sixteen this has been his first season working on the locos.   He's a very talented photographer .... and that's just using his phone camera.  He's got a very good eye for a picture.   At a very loose end, his Mum brought him down here from the Liverpool area just for a day out.   

A pretty quiet day in Aber cafe.  A suspicion that some folk are opting to stay safe at home - and who can blame them.   We have established some excellent Covid safe working practices around the railway with most people travelling in their own designated compartment.   People say they feel safe.   One-way systems indoors help maintain social distancing too.

Ruth, in Birmingham, is feeling a bit grotty having tested positive via lateral flow tests, grottiness probably aggravated by the booster jab she had hours before finding out that a support worker had a confirmed case herself.   If there's a silver lining, it's that her isolation period will end in time for her to come here for Christmas.

Life is never dull.
