Settled in hotel
Rather long drive but weather clear.
Eventually dark so tried find hotel close motorway.
Settled on one but had to use phone gps as TomTom couldn't find it and offered one 500+kms away!
Phone was useless and followed lots of winding country roads peopled by maniac drivers. Horrible protracted journey. Then couldn't find right street in the town. Packed out due to huge Christmas market closing many streets. Lots of help but not well known Phoned them twice but no one answering. Began to panic. Stopped on street and went into restaurant to ask for more help. Young woman went to ask someone and then insisted on showing me.
So finally got there. The boss was quite unpleasant with me. Young employee asked to show me room. Up enormous staircase and website had said wheelchair accessible.
Too tired to argue. But wasn't going to have meal there and give them more money. Went back to first restaurant and had best food Ive had for ages. Reasonable evening price for 3 course meal - 25€. Dalmon tartare with mini blinis, 6 enormous gambas with rolled cabbage and potato croquettes, chocolate with banilla ice cream. Very well cooked and nice atmosphere in casual restaurant.
Exhaustedly went to bed. Gyp settled quickly in her portable sleeping quarters!
