Adaptation

Being passive and unaware leads one to a life of ignorance and eventually causes one to succumb to a a downward spiral of self collapse. A deadly combination.

Adaptation, however, not only guarantees survival but also yields inner strength, understanding, respect, and even peace with one's surroundings.
