A pause in the rain

Five new admissions over the weekend. As there had been five discharges on Friday, the pressure was due only to an influx of patients new to us.

Lots of time between the zoom meetings to deal with emails. because the Grand Round was cancelled, I had time to read a journal article over lunch.

As I'm needing to be in the city for Peer Review tomorrow evening, we are staying on longer than intended. The heavy rain also discouraged what would have been an essentially unnecessary couple of trips. And because there have been times when a crash or two in bad weather turns a 60 minute drive into a two hour one, a quiet evening has been welcome.
