Callicarpa in the snow
Planted this bush for it's purple berries in winter It did nothing for 2 years but on its last chance, it's finally produced a nice crop. Today in the rather slushy snow it's a nice detail to look for in the garden.
I've always found very funny the idea in Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's book Good Omens that the demon terrifies his plants into being healthy by threatening them indirectly.
In this case there was a thorough renovation of the bed removing weeds, adding compost and so forth in spring that really helped. Nevertheless, it can stay. For now.
