Baby Jesus with Saint Anthony of Padua
We found this bit of holy statuary discarded on the footpath. Streets around here are provident. We may eventually move it on but I thought it could perhaps be blippable in the festive season.
At first I thought this was Joseph and Jesus, but Joseph is generally depicted as bearded, with hair and a carpenter's apron. He is also often depicted with three lilies, but so are other saints as they represent purity.
Further research led me to believe the found statue is indeed of Saint Anthony as he typically holds a book and the Christ child.
