Rather timely to spot this sticker today. In the last few days we’ve learned that brexit has been a key factor for two separate friends who’ve each had to cease trading, one of whom had a thriving small manufacturing business and the other a restaurant owner.
The manufacturer can no longer obtain some of the materials he needs at a price that makes his business viable, not to mention the mountain of paperwork now needed for exporting his finished goods to Europe, his main market.
The restaurant, at times quite high in Tripadvisor’s London ratings despite its small size, closed this week due to a combination of both brexit and the utter lack of support from the government during the covid-19 crisis.
