Stark
Surprisingly mild today. What bit of light there was reflected off patches of ice in the marsh. I got interested in textures and shapes of decaying wildflowers and decided to set them against the light, which wasn't as easy as it sounds and required careful positioning.
To make them stand out I used a shallow depth of field, pushing the background marsh into a collection of light and dark shapes. There is a lot of tension in this image due to the pointy bit of the wildflower almost touching the dark triangle of earth. A result I think perhaps more by luck than judgement.
