Interesting plumbing - rather unconcealed but at least very colourful.

Busy day today. Was woken at 5 a.m. to work in the hop yards (surprise, surprise: winter came back and it was -5°C, so driving in the fields was possible again). So after an early start and a quick shower I went to work - where I nearly died from tiredness. Seriously guys: how are you working people coping with those early hours (before noon I mean). After coming home I decided that a extensive bike tour was a better idea to fight of this weariness than taking a nap.

So I drove up to the Olympic Park (the venue of the 1972 Olympic Summer Games). The picture is taken from one of the central plazas of Munich's Olympic Village (which probably is best known for the tragic Munich Massacre), looking south. What you see in the background is the 291 meters high Olympic Tower (a broadcasting tower with and observation platform and a spinning restaurant), some of the appartment houses to the left (which are now halls of residence) and in the foreground something that seems like very interesting plumbing. I'm not going to lie, it took me some time to find out what this is about. Turns out it is a fancy (and probably very 70s) way of signposting - all of the four major street in the village have teir own colours and if you follow the plumbing you get where you want.

In other news: Bayern Munich won the first leg (home match) of the Champions League quarter final against Juventus Turin 2:0. Important!
