Seasonal bread

Full house for lunching ladies today.  One of them will be travelling to her daughter next week so I brought our 'Christmas' lunch forward.  Couldn't resist this bread to go with the chicken and vegetable soup.  We then had steamed chocolate pudding and chocolate custard, a cake topped with fruit and nuts and all accompanied by mulled wine.  We pulled crackers and wore our paper hats.
Decided not to go to the panto tonight.  3 out of the 5 going, but I am uneasy with the rising covid figures.  Lost £30 cost of the ticket, but peace of mind is more important.  I want to be able to spend Christmas with the family.
