Shooting for the Moon

Happy birthday and congratulations to our dog walking friend Edith - 87 today.  We dropped off a card this morning and heard that she had had a lovely weekend with family and was going to a tea party later.

Congratulations also to our eldest son James who, with 2 friends, has won one of the prizes in the global NASA Space Apps Challenge after doing a hackathon at the beginning of October.  

Their team name was  'Cambridge Asteroids'  and they were winners for 'Best Use of Data' for their project 'When Light Curves Throw Us Curve Balls'.  If you're feeling brainy you can look at it here.  (And even load the asteroid bella-the-cat).

His prize?  He gets to go to a rocket launch in USA.  Wow!
