The Rex

I had cause to nip into Elland this morning and parked up near to The Rex Cinema - one of the oldest purpose built, structurally unaltered cinemas in the country. It was built in 1912 and opened as The Picture House on 12 December that year. The films here always have an interval during which the organ is played and ice cream is consumed.

I  went for a short walk this afternoon and just managed to clock up my 10,000 steps.
