Across the miles

Regular readers may remember me mentioning our friend Stef from Germany.

She’s had a particularly crappy year with one thing or another but always makes time to send us a little ‘how are you’ message and also the fabulous travel journal as a wedding gift.

She messaged a couple of weeks ago to say that she, her husband and two out of three kids had all got covid, so needless to say she was feeling pretty low.

I saw this bauble online, so sent it with their Christmas card just to try and offer a bit of cheer and let her know we think about her often.

She sent me this photo today and was really touched by the gesture.
It’s true; we do wish she lived closer but for now, we can send a smile across the miles :-)
