Dornmühle
The Dornmühle is (the remain of) a mill, that was first built over 600 years ago. As of 1925 it was only processing for own use, until 1952. The estate was destroyed due to a fire in 1962. Only some walls and this vaulted cellar remain. The well inside the ruin is under monument protection.
Thanks to Marlieske for hosting the Derelict Sunday challenge.
The extra shows a beaver dam in the Gersprenz, south of the Dornmühle (and upstream of our village). So the beavers have moved further up the river. A couple of kilometres farther upstream, where the Gersprenz is mere a metre wide, the beavers are chopping down more trees (and actually quite big ones).
