Happy (belated) Easter
In these past few months of blipping it has sometimes been difficult to get a suitable shot, but sometimes a blip just appears before you. It was such today. While visiting a community colleague to help sort out one or two things, this just happened to be sitting on the lounge coffee table. An annual construction made from eggs gathered and decorated over the years and, apparently, getting heavier each year. [May be worth enlarging to see the detail.]. She and hubby obliged by holding up a table cloth to mask out the background.
This is just one of the works of art by this talented individual - she also makes jewellery and dolls houses. Funny the things you find out you never knew about people you thought you knew well! It got us thinking about how the community website we are constructing could enable local people with similar interests to get together to share interests and ideas. Let's hope so!
Another fine day, particularly this morning, with more time spent this afternoon in the vegetable patch - still more deep rooted weeds and brambles to extract before we can plant the potatoes! But, fortunately(?), it's been too cold to do so yet! And in other news, the car passed its MOT - hooray! But, according to the car mechanic, pity those with a Nissan - he says they fall foul of EU regulations on HID headlights and, as acceptable ones can't be retro-fitted, some 3 year old cars will have to be scrapped! Seems crazy, if true - are Nissan working on a solution?
