Catching Some Rays

In the middle of the afternoon, this pigeon was just resting at the top of the hedgerow catching a little of warmth from the sun. I managed to sneak out into the garden with a camera to grab a shot. A few seconds later it was gone. 

I was hoping to capture a red kite either in flight or perched in a tree, but when I went out earlier with my biggest lens on the camera there were none flying about…frustratingly I could hear a couple but couldn’t see them. So instead you have a pigeon….sorry!
