Quiet in the City
It certainly felt like the spread of the Omicron variant has changed the mood in Leeds. I had a film date to watch Lamb and didn't have any reservations about going. My theory that the best films play to empty cinemas was confirmed yet again. There were only two other people watching. It possibly wouldn't be for everyone - slow-paced and weird - but I thought it was remarkably well done. Definitely one for our Scandinavian friends.
The train in and out was also pretty empty, as was both the library and the pub, where we stopped by for a quick drink. Most people were wearing masks on the streets, looking out for themselves and others, regardless of the regulations.
Here we go again.
