Woodland deer

Deer made from wood are woodland deer, right? Their eyes are conkers; twig antlers, bonkers! They've arrived in my S-in-L's garden in time for Christmas.

This afternoon we drove back to Devon for a few days, where the house is feeling less and less like "home". Interesting sights on the way down included newborn lambs gamboling around a field and, a few miles further on, what looked like blackthorn blossom on the hedges. In December!

We've had a relaxing evening of recorded TV, before we're back to more clearing and packing up tomorrow. And, of course, this year's Strictly final in the evening.
