Open Book

On the Radio Four Open Book programme Someone famous(?) talked about the book she would never let out of the house though this would be the one thing she would pick up in case of fire. It is the only time I have heard this author and title referred to in the media but I read it in my first year at the secondary school from the library there and read it several times though my memory of it is hazy. That copy had no paper cover but the title appealed. When I saw it in a sale I had to have it but so far I have not reread it. Perhaps I shall now.
