It sure did look like this young thing was doing the hokey cokey on my roof!  But as I watched I began to think he wasn't dancing so much as trying to get the sunshine and a bit of warmth onto his quite possibly damp and cool nether regions.

So yes - sunshine today.......yay!  Long may it stay.

In COVID news there were 91 new community cases; 58 are in hospital and 4 in ICU.  The Nelson outbreak seems to be under control - great work from those affected by the virus :)  We also received this announcement on the COVID media release page:  
"Congratulations New Zealand – we’ve reached the milestone of 90 percent fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
As of 11.59pm yesterday, 3,789,662 of the 4,209,057 eligible New Zealanders aged 12 and over were fully vaccinated, with 3,969,267 (or 94%) partially vaccinated."  Yay!  Does that mean we're all safe now? Sadly, no.........not safe, just safer.  COVID can still be carried by vaccinated people and those people will still fall sick from contracting it....for most, just not as sick.  It's a step in the right direction though which has to be good.
