Flight

Today, in 1903, the Wright Brothers invented powered flight. I got my Pilot's Licence at 17 (but only learnt to drive when I was 28)... As a small boy, I mostly ran around the house with toy aeroplanes over my head (and had a bedroom ceiling with over 100 model aeroplanes pinned into it, much to the annoyance of my Mum!). I've been lucky enough to be supersonic, fly at the edge of space and hover in mid-air. Now I teach the next generation of RAF Officers.
