Resisted it!
GAS, that is – gear acquisition syndrome. I have two problems: firstly I always want the latest gear, whether or not it's better than what I have; secondly I almost always resist selling what I already have – it's still good gear, after all.
However, today, after hours of vacillating over a new camera and lens kit (Fuji X-E4 and 27mm ƒ2.8 lens) I decided against it and ordered a new lens, a 35mm ƒ2, for my Fuji cameras. My rationale is that I can sell my 23mm ƒ2 to pay for it, if I decide that the 35 is better for my purposes (I'm not sure that I know what my purposes might be, of course).
So, the devil has been sent away, for the moment, and I can rejuvenate my X-E3 with a new lens. Makes perfect sense, doesn't it!
