Spring Sprang Sprung

We spent a delightful few hours visiting Freeport today. The weather could not have been any better: sunshine, westerly winds, and 55F. Absolutely unheard of for mid-December but we loved it! • LLBean’s winter display included an outdoor skating rink with skate rentals, all free of charge; heated seats for observers; holiday music and lots of decorated trees to enjoy. Every day includes a special event: hot chocolate bar, Santa and reindeer visits, skating demos, etc. Every year we make an effort to visit in December and this year’s weather made it so much more enjoyable to walk around and experience the many festive sights and sounds • Despite today’s unseasonable weather, Forecasters are still predicting a plowable snow for most of Maine, beginning Saturday afternoon here • The early light on this feeder was too irresistible to pass up this morning :)
