The place to ourselves

There was a cold easterly wind today but a glimmer of sunshine appeared about 3pm so we set off for a seafront walk to our favourite cafe - the Cantina.
It was an exhilarating breeze and it was almost high tide so there was a bit of sea coming over the edge. That was probably why no one else was at the Cantina. There is a large canvas canopy there which has open sides so we could sit in there feeling safe. A lot of prepping going on so I think a busy Friday night was ahead.
Bird of the day. Turnstone. About 50 at Preston sands and some scurrying about in the harbour.
