Mixed Blessings

Considering the weather and other things - we have had a surprisingly good day today.
Not so good on the Covid front - with Oslo son telling us he has tested positive, and lockdown son - who lives with us now - getting PCR confirmation that he has Covid today. At the moment I feel philosophical - they are both ok - and we are all boosted up - but I know it can all turn on a sixpence
J and I tested negative today. We’re not socialising but we are walking. We went out onto the Stray this morning - low cloud and limited visibility - where they have planted several young trees - (whilst we suffer from very little vandalism for some reason our trees are a target) - today they brought to mind the Menorah. We headed up to Harlow Carr Gardens to get more steps this afternoon - (I’m targeting an average of 12k steps a day this year) - as it went dark and the lights went on it felt quite magical - collage in extras which also includes a robin, a spiders web, a chilli Xmas decoration, and a mistletoe sculpture over the lake - taken lots of photos. Delighted to see a pair of camera shy goldcrest
Just watched Rose and Giovanni’s contemporary dance in the Strictly final, lovely to see them fly, so I’ll end on a wing and a prayer, enjoy your evening
